That is the only way to describe the weather today. It has been rainy and cold and just nasty outside all day. I really hope that this weekend is as nice as they've predicted! Low- to mid-60s are going to feel amazing compared to low 30s and 40s! I'm ready for the 70s and 80s right now, tho. I'm just so sick of crappy rainy/snowy/cold weather. It seems like it's been a year since we've had a nice day and I'm looking forward to it.
In other news. I got a free pair of tickets from my boss for the Lima Symphony Orchestra performance on April 19th. I'm pretty excited about that! I've never really gone to anything fancy before, so I'm not exactly sure how I'm supposed to dress, but I'm sure as long as I do something slightly dressy, I should be fine. Now, getting Jake into dressy clothes may present a problem. ;p
In some different other news, my goddaughter's baptism is quickly approaching. I've only got a little over 2 weeks before the "big day" and I still haven't figured out an appropriate gift to get her. I wanted to get her a Precious Moments Bible, but I don't know if she has one already. And, that may be more of a 1st communion gift (which I don't know if she'll have since she's not Catholic and I don't know much about how other religions handle their baptism and what comes after that). So, I'm back at "square 1" again. I should just give her dad a call and see if there's anything that he can think of, but that involves me trying to find a time when he isn't working or sleeping, and I don't wanna bother him while he's doing either of those. ;p I guess I'll just have to "wing-it" or something. ;p

I really like the idea of getting her a bible, since she's still a baby I don't think a lot of people would think to get her that and it will be something she'll appreciate as she gets older. Another idea might be a picture book of bible stories if you're leaning in the religious directions, I know I had one as a child that I used to get read from a lot.
Other than that I would say just get her something cute and girl-baby-ish and you can't really go wrong.
