This is Halloween!

Anywho. This year, I've decided to make Jake's and my costumes. Since I don't have a sewing machine, I'm sewing everything by hand, so it's not going to look professional, but I'm happy with how things are turning out so far! My costume is done with the exception of buying some white tights. I have a couple of things to make for Jake's costume & we need to pick him up a pair of gray pants and then he's all taken care of as well.

In case you are wondering, we're going as Gnomeo and Juliet this year! It was Jake's idea and I love it! I'm so excited! Hopefully I can post pics this weekend!

Frustrating!

Jake and I really need to find our wedding venue soon because I can't book a lot of the other vendors for the wedding without a location. We had a couple of places that we were going to look at but the one doesn't rent out their facility for weddings and we haven't been able to schedule a time to check out the other. If that one doesn't work out, I'm not sure what we're going to do. Ugh!

Boredom

There's really nothing on TV and not much left to do on the internet. Now what? I collected some leaves yesterday. I guess I could start pressing them in some books to see if that'll work to preserve them. But that sounds an awful lot like work, lol!

Happy October 1st! It was pretty cold today, but it wasn't rainy, so I was actually able to be outside long enough to appreciate the beautiful fall-colored leaves on the trees. I'm actually considering going out and collecting some to try to preserve for my wedding next year. I saw lots and lots of beautiful colors and I would love to incorporate them into my wedding decor (especially since they're free!). :)
