My fall quarter officially ended on Tuesday with the completion of my Chemistry final, but I still had to head up to campus on Wednesday, thru all of the snow and ice, to work for 5 hours. While the drive wasn't horrible, precisely, it would have been nice to not have to worry about having a huge accident on my way to work that morning.
Wednesday afternoon, after I got off work, I headed over to Jake's house and his Mom and I made Buckeyes and Peanut butter Fudge (Mmmm!). It didn't take us nearly as long as I had figured it would take (of course, we only made a double batch of Buckeyes and one batch of fudge), and it was a lot of fun. I'm sure we'll be doing something similar this coming Wednesday, and maybe I'll have some time to finally finish up Jake's monster blanket! :)
So, the Christmas season is upon us, and I feel completely unprepared for it. Right now, I don't have much time to worry about it because I have so much going on with preparations for my cousin's wedding next Saturday...my brain is just too occupied to think about presents a whole lot (but I still think about them). This quarter seemed to go by extremely fast towards the end, and it feels like Christmas is going to be here just as quickly, and I won't have gifts for many people at all.
With the mild amounts of stress aside, I think that this Winter Break is going to be extremely enjoyable! We're in a new house, so we're basically getting a new start (in a way) pretty much just in time for the New Year, and that's really exciting. Of course, moving is always a huge inconvenience, but at least we didn't have far to go this time, and the house is awesome!
I'm not really looking forward to any of my classes next quarter, so I really hope that these next couple of weeks don't fly by and that I will have the opportunity to enjoy the seasonal weather this year (maybe go sledding a time or two?). Maybe I'll get caught up on all of the sleep that I missed over the last quarter and get a little extra stocked up for missed hours next quarter? ;p
