I had my second speech in Comm 105 today (technically it's the 3rd, but the 2nd one was so short that I'm not going to count it). I actually improved a little on it... I went from an A- to an A. I'm really not worried about passing this class. I've had this prof before and he's not really strict on grading. I may not have an A in the class (because my tests will probaby bring that down to a B, which sucks, but whatever), but I won't have to work my ass off for a good grade, either. :)
Today was the day of the first midterm in Chem...that probably could have gone better. I'm confident that I at least got a C on it (with the help of the bonus questions, of course), but I'll be shocked if I get anything better than that. There was a really hard problem on there and we were supposed to solve it a specific way, and I just couldn't figure out how to do it, so I basically threw some stuff together, wrote it down and called it a day.
I'm just really glad that today is almost over. Tomorrow, all I have is work (for 7 hours), so maybe I can bring a book with me to read (or maybe even read a couple of chapters in my textbooks...yeah right!), or find something to occupy me because it'll probably be a slow day.
My cousin, Eric, and his fiance came over yesterday and they brought over my pseudo-niece, Sophie (Sophia). I got to hold her for about 20-30 minutes and I told her that when she gets older, we'll go shopping and do all sorts of fun things together. She was sleeping at the time, but I'm sure she heard me. If not, then I won't have to feel guilty if I never actually get the chance to take her anywhere. ;p
