Well, we went to the show last night. It was pretty good, but it was so miserably hot and stuffy in the theatre that we had to cut out at the intermission. Thankfully the tickets were free, so we didn't lose any money. If we (in the audience) were that uncomfortable, I can't even imagine how hot they were up on stage in their all-black outfits and with those spotlights shining on them. Jake and I are planning on doing that again sometime, but next time we're planning on dressing to be more comfortable as far as room temperature goes. We did feel pretty underdressed, but a lot of the people wearing suits and dress jackets were old men that are probably always cold, anyways. So, next time we'll have to dress a little nice but be smarter about what we're wearing so we don't die from the heat.
The baptism was this morning. I really didn't want to wake up at 7:45 to get ready to be in Celina by 9:30...I had a really hard time waking up after I shut my alarm off. The service was pretty short and the actual baptism only lasted about 10 minutes. I wasn't required to go stand up at the front (like I'm accustomed to with Catholic baptisms), so that was a little weird for me, but the process was about 1/4 the length of the Catholic process, so that was a plus.
Jake left reading an entire book for class on Monday for today, so we weren't able to attend the "reception" after church, but we did go over to Eric and Katie's apartment to hang out with them for a bit while they got her bottles cleaned so she could eat. I gave Sophie her presents and she slobbered on the lamb and was smacking the little Bible and chewed on the edges. It didn't take her very long to break them in. ;p
