As you can tell, I lived through my speech this morning. I wasn't sure if I was going to make it there for a while, though. I felt sick to my stomach and a little light-headed. Thankfully, I didn't puke or pass out while giving my speech.
It went over both better and worse than I had imagined, if that's at all possible. We were told to imagine ourselves giving the speech and doing well at it, but when I imagined it, things weren't always good. I tried to think positively, but I can't help but feel like I went too fast and that I didn't prepare as well as I should have. I just have to keep telling myself that it's in the past and there isn't anything I can do about it now. I'll just have to be more determined to do better on the next one.

At least if you go first you don't have to be the one to go right after the person who is AMAZING at public speaking and makes you look bad.
