Alone Time

Ok, so I love all of my friends dearly...even the ones who I can only stand for a few hours at a time. But, my friend, Deana, spent almost 5 whole days at my house...she finally left this afternoon, and she'd been here since Thursday afternoon. I mean, I love her to death and she's my friend, but she's kinda high-maintenance friends and so 5 consecutive days of hanging out is way too much! I don't mind helping her out, and she really did need to stay here for those days, but I was really glad that she got to leave today. I'm definately going to enjoy being able to sleep in my room without having to worry about her waking me up when I'm almost asleep to ask me something.

In other news, Jake's birthday was yesterday and I got him a -Blue- Gameboy Advance SP (I -had- to get him a BLUE one!). His parents got him a Jerky Machine, which is cool (it's what he wanted last year, but I guess they couldn't find one) and the jerky it makes is really good. He was a little...upset, I guess might describe it, that I spent so much on him, but I couldn't help it. I didn't know what else to get him!
His mom made a Butterfinger Cake. It's basically chocolate cake soaked in caramel with like a two-inch layer of whipped cream, and then sprinkled with Butterfingers. It was really good, but his mom gave me a huge piece and I thought I was gonna die after I ate it. I made myself waddle down to Wal-Mart to try and work some of it off. ;p So anyways, I think he had a good birthday. The gifts were definately better than I guess they were last year (apparently he got a pillow, which he didn't even get to keep because someone stole it from him).
