Yesterday, we had our 1st real snow of the season, and it actually stuck to the ground...until it started raining last night, and then it pretty much all melted away. But there is still snow sticking to roof tops and piles of sticks & weeds here and there. It's enough to remind me of how excited I was went it started yesterday.
Friday night, me, Jake and Britt climbed in my car and we drove to Van Wert to help Tabby celebrate her 21st birthday party. We drank a bunch (but nobody succeeded in getting drunk, and when we tried to buy Pucker and Schnapps and stuff to shoot and get a good buzz going on, the 1 place wouldn't sell any after 10 and the Walmart didn't carry the stuff we wanted), and we played a couple of games of 'Clue,' which is really fun!
When the 3 of us left Saturday morning, I looked out the window when we were getting ready to leave and asked 'Is it snowing?' and everyone seemed to think it was mostly rain, or maybe frozen rain. But, by the time we left Sonic and got onto 30, it was pretty much full-fledged snow. And when we were driving down 198, we saw that it was actually sticking to the ground and we all got excited! It was awesome!
Snow really gets me into the Christmas & shopping season. I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving, too. I like Thanksgiving and I'm looking forward to giving my little cousin the blanket that I've been making for her, but there's just something about Christmas that always makes me excited, and it's especially exciting this year. :)
