My Dad's surgery was this morning. I got a call from my mom around 1:30 or 2 saying that he got thru the surgery fine and that they were keeping him in ICU to watch over him and make sure everything goes well. Other than that, tho, I think he's doing okay. I don't really know much because I'm at work and I can't call her back, but I wish I could.
I have to teach a lesson tomorrow in the 1st grade class that I'm "interning" in, and I have to cut out about 125 flower petals, 25 circles for the middle of the flower (to keep the petals together), and about 100 leaves for the kids to glue onto their popsickle sticks (aka: the stems). And then I'll have to go out and buy a flower planter (the long rectangular ones) and get some cardboard to stick in the bottom to hold said flowers. And I also have to find time to check Mom's PO Box and check on my Aunt's cat...along with cutting out the remaining flower parts (I got a tiny start on it today, but didn't get much done). Oh yeah...and I have to pick up a snack for the kids cuz I promised them a treat.
Thank goodness I don't have to worry about making dinner tonight...I'm just stuck on campus until 7-7:30. Well, I had a few gray hairs before this week and I'm sure I'll have about 20 more after it's over. I had also planned on going to the mall to get my Mom a Mother's Day gift tomorrow before going to Columbus on Saturday...but I doubt I'll have the time. So maybe I'll just buy her some pretty flowers from Wal-Mart, plant them in the front of the house and put the mulch down that they bought...if I have time for that.
