Last night when my dad got home from his classes, I guess he was too sick or too tired and he had too much homework or what the fuck ever to go pick Ben up from Show Choir practice....so guess who got stuck doing it...Me. And when Ben got home, he remembered that he had to do some work for a project and he needed the computer...but Dad was on it, and he didn't want to give up the computer, so guess who had to let Ben use her computer...Me. Whenever he wants something, it's "give me what I want and fuck everyone else!" and I just hate it!!! I don't see why he thinks he deserves a break more than me or Mom...heck, I think Mom deserves one more than anyone. But, I work and go to school and I was over helping my aunt pack some of her stuff up....I've got a busy schedule, and all he has to do is go to school. Sure, he refs a few football games here and there, but I don't really think that's very stressful...I just don't understand why he can't have some consideration for other people. If he doesn't want to do something, by God, somebody else better pick up the slack! He just pisses me off so much sometimes! I have lots of stuff I'd rather be doing than picking Ben up from his extracuricular activities, but Ben is -his- son for fuck's sake! I shouldn't have to be picking up my brothers all the time when he's perfectly capable of doing it. I had to drop some stuff off at the house (and I still had an hour or so to kill before picking Ben up anyways) and when I walked in the door, guess what he was doing, sitting on the couch being a freaking bum, not doing the homework he supposedly had to do (you know, pretty much the whole reason he gave for not being able to pick Ben up in the first place)....he was just sitting on his ass. I guess I'm supposed to feel bad for him because he's sick and he doesn't feel good, but, you know what...tough shit! I was kinda sick yesterday, and I had homework I could have been doing, but I had other responsibilities to take care of...and that's what I did!
Well, I think I'm done venting for now....I just really needed to get that off my chest. Man, I can't believe how much of an ass he can be!

Time
I miss having time to spend with my friends. By the time I get home, the friends that I have that are still in the same area as me are at work, and they won't get off work until later that night, and by that time, I'm heading to bed because I have to be up early the next day. Thankfully I've got weekends off, but they don't always, so it's difficult to make time. But, hopefully this weekend I'll at least get to see a few of them and have some fun. Though, I'm not sure how much time I'm going to have on Saturday because I'm helping my aunt move her crap into storage. Oh yeah..and she's staying with us for about 2 weeks..and she's sleeping in my bed..even though that's not what -I- want...but I guess that doesn't matter to anyone. So yeah...I basically lose my room for 2 weeks...so I'm probably going to be spending a lot of time over at Jake's house during those weeks.
I'm planning on visiting Columbus sometime in October, so I will look up all of you who are there, if I have time, which I should. So, I guess I'll see you sometime in October. :)

This quarter
So, I've officially been to all of my classes now, and I have a general idea about each of them. My Geology class is most likely going to be pretty easy because I took Honors Geology Spring Quarter last year and I got a B in the class without even really trying...and that class had a bunch of projects and stuff in it, which this one doesn't have. So, I'm fairly positive that I will be fine in that class. My Communications class seems like it's going to be fairly easy, and maybe even a little fun (and it's not a public speaking class, thank God!!!), so that shouldn't be too bad, either. However, my Math class doesn't seem like it's going to be all that great. It said on the course sheet that it's "math concepts for teachers", which would seem like it's going to help you teach math to kids or whatever, but I really don't know that that's how it's going to be. One of my coworkers took that class and she said that it didn't really seem like she could use any of the materials she learned in there and that it really didn't seem like it would help her teach other people math. So, I'm a little concerned about how I'm going to do in this class...a little worried about how the tests and quizes are going to go, but I'm determined to try my best and hopefully pass it! :)

I got a job finally
I had someone call me on Wednesday about a work study job in the Academic Advising Office, but I didn't get the message until later in the evening, and it was too late to call them back. So, the lady that left me the message called me back the next afternoon. We talked and she told me she can schedule me for 20 hours a week, which is pretty good. I'm not sure what the pay is or what I'll be doing, and I won't know that until I go in to see her on Monday. But I'm pretty sure I'm not going to turn down the job, so yeah...I've got a job! :) I'll have money for Christmas shopping and I won't have to be broke. The only downside is that I basically have to buy myself at least part of a new wardrobe because I'll need "business casual" things, and I really don't have anything like that. Oh well.
More exciting news. After tomorrow, my aunt's garage sale will be over and then she won't be consuming my every waking moment anymore...until she asks me to help her move into her new house. I don't know how much help I'm going to be able to offer since I'll be in school when she does the moving. But, she'll pay me for whatever help I can give...and money is -always- good! *nods* So, we'll see.
I'm kinda interested to see how I'm going to do with having school and work this quarter. I didn't work last year and I'm just wondering if it's going to cut into my homework time?!?! But, since it is a "work study," if they don't have any work for me, I can do homework. :) So, that's always a plus.

Yay shopping
I went shopping today for Jake, and I probably spent way too much money, but I guess it's okay because I also got a few things for myself, and I really did need to use up the rest of the money on the Old Navy gift card that Jake got me like 2 months ago. So now I have this new sweater thingy, which is really soft and pretty, and I also got myself a new pair of pj pants. :)
I already had a couple of pairs of boxers for Jake, but I also got him a ring (which I can't really describe because the design's a little weird, but it has a kinda blueish-black background behind the design, and that's pretty) and a green long-sleeved button-up shirt. I went with green because almost everything in his wardrobe is BLUE!! Don't get me wrong, blue is a good color for him, but come on...there -are- other colors out there...at least maybe get a little bit more variety!

Stupid boys
What fucking good is a cell phone if you bring it with you (when you actually have some freaking minutes on the damn thing) but you leave it on vibrate sitting in another room?!?! I just don't understand how boys can function without using their F-ING brains!
Jake and I have plans for later this evening, but when I called him, he wasn't at home. Well, that's fine. I don't expect him to sit at home waiting on my calls...that would be sad, and kinda creepy. Anyways, his mom had no idea where he was, and so I tried the cell. Did he answer?...NO! So, I'm figuring that he doesn't even have it with him, which is great because how the hell would I get ahold of him then?!?! So, I called Mike's cell, figuring that maybe, just maybe, Jake might be with him. Well, he was....and he did have his cell with him...but it was in a different room, on vibrate, so he couldn't hear it... I thought the point of a cell phone was to be able to reach someone while they're away from a home phone or whatever, and I realize that I don't always hear my phone ring, but I do check it for any missed calls frequently while I'm out and about, and I'm pretty good about getting back to whoever called me...unless my phone is being incredibly retarded and not letting me know that anyone has called...which it does on occasion. So, I don't want to sound hypocritical, but seriously...I would bet that he never would have even known I called if I hadn't been able to get ahold of Mike...not that I'm bitter or anything.
On a slightly happier note, I'm going shopping for stupid pony boy tomorrow because next Wednesday is our 6-month anniversary. I swear that if he pushes our dinner plans back or something, I'm going to f-ing rip his head off!!! Wait..think happy..this is supposed to be happier...at least a little. Though I think Britt might consider heads being ripped off as very friendly and definately amusing. But anyways. That's all I've got to bitch about...for now. Have a nice day! :)

King's Island
So, yesterday was my trip to King's Island with Jake and his family. If I've ever been there, it was when I was much younger and I don't remember it. Anyways. King's Island was bought out by Paramount, so they had this (I'm assuming) new section that had a bunch of the Nickelodeon cartoons and rides and stuff for them. Mary and I hunted down Spongebob and Patrick, but we also saw Dora and one of her friends on the show, and we saw Blue.
The first ride we went on was one called "The Italian Job". We rode in Mini Coopers and the ride was just all over the place. We stopped by this helocopter and the blades started spinning, and there were gun shots and then these gas cans starting leaking. And then there was fire. After that, we were taken into a tunnel and I had no F-ing idea where I was going because it was dark and I couldn't see a damn thing! I was just really glad when that ride was over... But I got a pretty amazing quote out of myself while in line for the ride. "Never underestimate the power of the weenie inside me." I don't think I'm really ever going to live that one down...
The next ride we went on was the Wild Thornberry's ride. That was a lot of fun. You can seat up to 5 people in this little log-shaped "car" and then you basically slide down tubes on the water, after you're pulled up a hill and dropped. But there really isn't a "track" for the log, so you kinda bump into the sides and that makes sure you're going in the right direction. Along the way there are things that squirt you with water, and almost at the end you go down another hill and that's where they take your picture. The picture of Mary, me, and Jake's parents (we were all in the same log) was hilarious, mostly because of the face Jake's mom made. And once you get down to the bottom, you go around one more bend and then an elephant squirts you with water...he gets everyone! I was shaking my arm to kinda get some of the water off and Jake's ring slipped off of my thumb and landed on the gravel by the elephant. The first guy I talked to basically told me there was nothing he could do about it, but when we rode it again later on, another guy told me to go talk to the ladies at the beginning of the ride and they would have me fill out a slip so they could mail it to me when they got to it. The first time we rode, Mary was in front, so she got pretty much soaked. I was in front the second time and I definately got water in my mouth, which is disgusting and I'm surprised I don't have things growing in it right now! ;p
Next we rode in this big tube, I guess it's supposed to be similar to White Water Rafting or something like that. But anyways...you go down this "river" and you get slashed and squirted the whole way. Jake got drenched the first time, and Mary was lucky enough to get it the second time...she got some up her nose. That ride was lots of fun.
Then, I guess everyone decided to ride the Tomb Raider ride....bad idea! I'm not exactly sure what all directions we went in that thing, but I definately know we were hanging upside down for about a minute and having water squirted at our faces. That ride wasn't worth the line. It was way too damn long for the f-ing headache I had afterwards.
After us kids got done with the water rides, we all did a little shopping (Mary bought me a bit lolly pop, and I got a set of 4 really cool shot glasses...I gave one each to Mom and Dad, and then I kept one and gave the orange one to Jake) and then we decided to head out because we were all cold and tired. All in all, it was a freaking fantastic day. And if we get to go again next year, I will definately know what to expect and I will prepare! :)
