Wow, it's been a while since I checked/updated this thing. A lot has happened. Some good, some bad, some I'd rather not go into. So, I'll just go with the most recent good news.
I'm engaged! Jake finally proposed on September 1st [Mom & Dad's anniversary]. I can't believe that it's already been over a month since it happened. It sometimes seems like only yesterday. We haven't been able to decide on a wedding date yet, mostly because he wants to wait 2 years and I only want to wait 1. So, we haven't hammered out that big detail yet, but that hasn't stopped me from starting to plan our wedding and think about what I'd like to do.
Maybe he'll agree to do it next year, eventually. Until then, the date's up in the air and it'll have to stay there until we can finally agree. Chances are he'll just drag his feet and put off the decision until it's too late to do next year, but hopefully we can make the decision together.
