I realized that I haven't blogged about anything good in my life lately...mostly because nothing really comes to me when try and think of the good stuff. So, I'm going to try and find some positive things to talk about...tho there might be some negative in there, cuz hey, that's life.
Well, yesterday I was checking Ebay to see if I could find some yarn for a friend's baby blanket that I'm working on (I had to check Ebay because nobody wants to carry the stuff anymore!), and I actually found the yarn, which is awesome. And, it won't be expensive to get it. The only bad thing is that I can't just get 1 or 2 things of yarn...I have to get 6 full ones and 1 partial one, and then a partial thing of white yarn...so that's going to be one massive baby blanket! ;p Oh, and I also found a thingy of the yarn that I'm using for Mary's scarf, so if I don't have enough, I can buy that, as long as it's still there. So, there are a few good things.
My parents' Halloween party is this Saturday and I'm hoping that will be a good time. There will be alcohol consumption, but I mostly plan on having fun and not puking my guts out...so there probably won't be a whole lot of that.
Oh, and here's a good thing. We don't have classes next Friday (for Veteran's Day) and I also don't have to work. So, I get the whole day off!!!! Yay! And I also get paid that day, which is awesome. So, I'll probably be using that day for shopping, and maybe I'll actually get something done.
I should be studying for my Geology Midterm right now, but I think I have a pretty good understanding of the material that we covered yesterday, and so all I really need to do is review the notes from 2 weeks ago, and maybe read a little bit out of the textbook, if I need a better understanding of something, and I think I'll be just fine. But, knowing me, now that I've said that I'm going to fail the test...great. I also have a Math test tomorrow, but I'll study for that when I do the "homefun" tonight that's due for tomorrow.
Oh yeah. I get to pass out candy to the little trick-or-treaters (I'm hoping that the weather is nice for that) tonight, as long as my mom doesn't want to do it. And, if Jake comes over, I'll make him sit out there with me. If the weather sucks, tho, we won't get a whole lot of kids. :( But that just means that there is more candy left over for us! :D

My poor foot.
Saturday night, I was lying down in my bed when my phone rang. I figured it was my mom, so I knew I couldn't ignore it cuz she would just keep calling. So, I got out of bed. When I put my left foot on the ground, it slid back under one of the drawers on my bedframe. When I went to walk towards my desk (where my cell is) I, of course, had to lift my foot up, and it got caught on the drawer, ripping into the back of my foot. I didn't realize how badly it was bleeding until I got off the phone and checked it out. Anyways. I went downstairs and had my mom put some antibiotic oinment on it and a couple of bandaids. When I woke up Sunday morning, I took the bandaids off because they were falling off anyways, and I had a nice-sized chunk of skin hanging off my foot. Well, I pulled it off because it really wasn't serving any purpose hanging off my foot like that. It's such a weird feeling...pulling skin off of yourself. And I don't know that it's ever going to heal because it keeps rubbing up against the back of my shoe, which hurts...like a bitch, sometimes...
So yeah, missing a decent sized chunk of skin now...yay. And I really don't want to be at work today...I just want to be at home sleeping. Oh, and I'm kinda ticked because I wanted to undo what I had of Mary's scarf done and make it less wide so that the yarn would stretch farther (because nobody carries the stuff anymore!). Well, when I tried to unravel the thing, which usually isn't difficult (you just pull on the one end and it undoes the stitches) but the dang thing got stuck somehow. So, I tried to cut it, but that didn't work and I ended up f-ing that up. So, I started from the bottom, and I think I can get it done that way, but since I'm going backwards, it's going to take a really long time. So yeah...I thought it was going to be simple, but I'm denied. I probably shouldn't have used such a small hook for that yarn (it's got a bunch of fuzz and stuff and it's hard to see the stiches).

I can't believe that I forgot to blog about this!
My aunt finally went to stay at her house this past Sunday (a gift from God!), and I got my room back. She even took Callie, her cat, with her, so I actually have my room all to myself again. I'm so happy! So, now I'll actually be able to be on my computer, and not rely on just using the one at work to check my e-mail and read thru everyone's blogs and all that. So, being on my computer at home more means that I'll be on my messengers more, which means that I will actually get to talk to people. :D
Aside from my aunt "moving out," there really hasn't been all that much going on in my life lately. Every Wednesday, I go over to Jake's house and crochet with his mom, sister, and grandma (and sometimes his cousin shows up), and I've started working on a blanket that I'll probably give to Jake. I made him a fleece tie-blanket for Christmas, and I got that done either last week or the week before, so I at least have a little Christmas gifting out of the way. I'm also currently working on a scarf for his sister, Mary, for Christmas, but I can't work on that in front of her, hence the need for another project to work on.
I get paid again this Friday (as long as the direct deposit works this week) and I'm hopefully going to go out and buy myself a winter coat. I really didn't think I would be needing one this soon, but since we've already had snow, I figured it might be a good idea to get one.
I'm so excited about the upcoming Christmas season! I love this time of year! I love buying gifts for everyone, and making Christmas cookies and sometimes pies...pretty much just baking in general. And I love the snow...at least until Christmas is over, and then I'm ready for it to stop. But, the interesting part this year is going to be saving my money, and not spending it on myself, so that I have some to buy gifts with. ;p I don't think it will be too much of a problem, hopefully.

"Haunted Trails Adventure"
So, I went "haunted housing" yesterday with Jake, Mike and 7 other people (most of whom I know from campus). We went to the "Haunted Quarry," which is in Lima/Ada (I think Ada, but I'm not really sure). Anyways...that one was ok, but it wasn't really scarry...just loud and the fog and strobe lights were pretty annoying.
The second one we went to was the "Fear Factory" in Finley. We had to wait in line for like 3 hours! I was so f-ing cold by the time we got to the ticket counter. And it only took about 15-20 minutes to go thru the thing. It was better than the first one (and cheaper, which was great), and the proceeds went to the "Make A Wish" foundation, which I thought was awesome. So, even if just for that fact, it was worth freezing my ass off in that line. ;p

Stress
I'm starting to think that I'm really stressed out this quarter. I'm sure it's from a combination of things. I really want to be a good student and pay attention in class and do well on the tests and quizes, but sometimes I find my mind wandering during lecture...and I know that I procrastinate when it comes time to study. At the beginning of the quarter, I was kindof expecting my work load to be small, but now that we're about halfway thru Autumn Quarter, I'm starting to realize that I shouldn't have slacked off so much at the beginning.
I really wasn't all that worried about my Math class...until this week when we have our first test.
I was somewhat worried about my Communications class, mostly because we have a few papers in there...but now I'm concerned about the midterm, even though it's multiple choice, if you don't know the terms, you're not going to be able to answer the questions.
And I wasn't worried about my Geology class, until I took the first midterm and I didn't ace it like I thought I would...but I'm still not that worried about it because we get to drop the lowest midterm grade.
Anyways. Last night, I was laying in "bed" (aka: the futon mattress I'm forced to sleep on because my aunt just WON'T leave!) and I had a cramp in my side (at least, that's what it felt like), so I figured that I could just roll over and take the pressure off of that side and it would go away. No such luck...the pain still persisted. I'm pretty sure it's connected somehow to my stress, but I'm not a doctor or anything, so I don't know how.
I know I should be studying instead of hanging with Jake, or watching TV, or working on crocheting projects, or the tie-blanket project that I just finished, but I can't study and be a good student and read all the time...I just can't do it. I just feel like I'm not really taking college seriously, and I know I should be, and I feel bad...hopefully I'll do better next quarter...*shrugs*

...will it ever end?!
I guess my aunt's supposed to have the keys to her house turned over to her this Friday, which is all fine and dandy, but I don't think she's planning on like moving in there right away...I think she's gonna stay at our house until after her shower gets set up...and that could put her being at my house for a month or more. It was only supposed to be two weeks! I never signed up to lose my room for an f-ing month! That was so not in the deal! I just want her to take her crap, and take her cat, and go over to her house! My room is barely big enough for all of my stuff, and she's got about half as much as I do...and she was only supposed to be staying with us for 2 weeks.
In other news. I went to grab some breakfast out of the vending machine in the "staff lounge" (and I can do that because I work here) and the machine counted the money that I put in there, but it spit it back out...so I basically got free food. I tried 2 more times to get it to take my money, but it wouldn't...so I got 3 free things from the vending machine. I kinda feel bad, but then, I kinda don't, because I definately spend enough money at this school! Oh well.

What the deuce?!?!
So, yesterday I was in my Communications class and I realized just how far behind in the reading I am....about 6 1/2 chapters..maybe 7. And we have a midterm next Thursday covering all of that. The chapters that I have to read in the book are so f-ing long! That's mainly the reason why they aren't done yet....it's taking forever to read the first one. I mean, they're not exactly boring because the author's writing style is pretty unique and she writes like she's talking to you, but it's still very time-consuming. So, I basically have a week to read all of these chapters (2-6 in the text book and 2 other chapters in this other little book-those chapters aren't long, but they're kinda boring), and I don't think I'm going to get it all done in time. Especially not at the rate that I'm going...sitting here posting a blog instead of reading, or studying for my math quiz like I should be. The whole reading thing wouldn't be happening anyways because I don't have my books with me, but I so could be studying for the math quiz...and I'm not. But, it's only over 2 sections...it can't be that difficult...right?... I have about 2 hours in between my classes today (when I'll be working) and I can probably find a few minutes to look everything over. I'm sure I'll feel better about it if I do that. I'm sure I'll do fine without studying, but it can't hurt, right?

The Wedding
I went to a wedding on Saturday. It was absolutely gorgeous! I'm not really sure what the other color was, but the one color was Eggplant (the color of the bridesmaids' dresses). And the styles of the dresses were great, too....except for the backs of the dresses..they seemed a little strange in their design, but whatever. The decorations were great....they kinda went with a fall theme, which I thought was great. And Kari's (the bride) dress was awesome. Strapless, white, with lots of glitter, and maybe some beadwork, but I really didn't get close enough to tell. I hope I can look half as good as she did at my wedding!
But, getting to the wedding...that was pretty close to a nightmare! Mom and I were running late for her supposed hair appointment (I don't think you can make appointments at Great Clips, but she thought she had one..anyways) and it was all my fault, of course, because I didn't let her have the shower first. Well, Susie (my aunt) also had a wedding that day, but it wasn't until later, and she got in the shower before me, so I would have been out in plenty of time if she wouldn't have been in there. Anyways. It took Maddie about an hour to do Mom's hair because it's so f-ing long and she was curling it. So, we were running late-r. It only took her about half an hour to do mine, and it looked great, but since she couldn't take her time, some of the curls fell out, but that's ok. So, we finally get home and the boys had called their friend's parents to see if they could hang out there for the day, and they could. Well, since Jake was at my house already, we decided to go grab some Arby's, since we both hadn't eaten. Well, I made the mistake of telling Mom where we were going...she asked us to pick up some food for them, too. So, the person at Arby's taking the order messed things up and it took about 5 minutes to straighten it out. We finally got the food back (after we had to stop at Wal-Mart to grab a card for Mom) and it was about quarter after 11, and we were gonna leave around 11:30 to get there in time (the wedding was at 1 pm in Ft. Jennings, which is about an hour away). Well, I had to shove food at the boys and get them over to their friend's house. We get them dropped off and I realize that I forgot some stuff at home...so it's back to my house. By this time, I've already spilled Dr. Pepper on my crotch about 3 times. I get my stuff and I'm backing out when I asked Jake for my sandwich. He pulls it out, and I guess when I was backing out, he didn't have time to grab the drink that was in his lap, and it spilled all over my floor...there was very little left in the bottom of the cup by the time he grabbed it. So yeah, that was fun. But then, things actually started looking up. Jake dropped a thing of honey mustard that he was using for his fries, and it landed "jelly-side up" (as the expression goes), and he didn't get any on him. But, he did manage to get some horseradish, or something like that on him before that...white stuff on his pants, of course. And, even though we were running about 10-15 minutes late when we finally left Wapak, we made it to the church with 8 minutes to spare. Yay for going 80-85 on US 30! We got there, and, as I said, the wedding was beautiful. The reception was okay. The decorations were pretty, but it seemed to take forever before we got to eat, and the cake was kinda dry tasting (at least, that's what I thought), but the dancing was fun. I made Jake dance with me. He was all self-conscious because he can't dance or whatever (he can slow dance, but anything else is kinda dodgy), but I told him not to worry about it. I made him dance with me because I've never had a date to a wedding...and I really don't wanna dance with my dad, so I usually didn't do a whole lot of dancing. But, we had a good time. We were beat by the time we got home. And we didn't technically get lost on the way home because the stupid people who named the roads in Ft. Jennings need to be kicked in the head. We were looking for Redd Road...but they changed the name on their end to Road 21, or something like that. So, we drove past it several times, and I just decided that I was gonna take it and pray that it was the right one, and, for once, it was! :) So, we left early cuz I thought I was gonna have to pick up my brothers, but I didn't, but we still left anyways. And we got home around 9:30. :) It was fun, but after the experience I had on the way there, I'm in no hurry to have to go thru this myself!

I WANT MY ROOM BACK!!!!!!!
So, my aunt's been staying with us since Saturday and she's f-ing taken over my room! Her stuff is EVERYWHERE! Every time I turn around, I run into one of her totes, or one of her bags (she's only staying with us for about 2 weeks, but she definately brought enough stuff to last her for about 2 months!), and she's got stuff in both my extra (storage) closet and in the bathroom closet. We can't even close that door because her 2 f-ing humongous suitcases. And I know I leave soda cans all over my room and stuff, but right now I've only got one on my desk...and she's got at least one empty one on my headboard....and I think a few unopened ones here and there. Oh, and did I mention that she gets to sleep in my bed?!?! Yeah, I get stuck on the futon mattress on the floor. And she has to have the TV on to fall asleep, I guess...so I have to wait until she's asleep before I can turn it off. I really don't think this next week or so is going to be all that fantastic for me. Oh yeah, she's basically taken over my room, so I was downstairs watching TV and heating up some food. I left to go grab my food (or stick it in the microwave, or whatever), and I come back into the living room and she's sitting on the couch watching TV... I guess Nick fell asleep on the futon upstairs while he was petting Callie (sp?) and I guess she didn't want to disturb him or something.
Anyways...I guess I'm done bitching about that for now. Just give me about a day and I'm sure I'll add to the list. ;p
