Why does it seem that Gir only wants to sleep when I'm awake? I lie down at night and she proceeds to claw my hands or my face...last night she got my lip with one of her claws, which was kinda painful cuz it felt like the claw almost got stuck in my lip...that would have been great...
So it's about 2 1/2 hours before I have to be at work and all I feel like doing is lying in my bed and doing a whole lot of nothing. I'm hoping that if I get the work study job on campus, I'll be a little more willing to work there. It's not that I hate my job, because it's really not that bad...it's just that we don't have any AC and I'm in the drive-thru, which can get pretty toasty at times, and I'm tossing around 35, 40, 50 lb bags of animal feed or salt or whatever, so I tend to get hot...and when I get overheated, I sometimes tend to get lightheaded and potentially pass out, which would be all kinds of fun at work, considering that I'm usually the only one there when I work. Oh well...I'll only have to worry about it for about another month or so, I'm thinking. :)

Interview
I had an interview today for a work study position on campus. I think I'm working in the office where the Graduate students go to get their social work done (maybe) and I'm basically going to be doing paperwork and all that fun stuff. But hey, the job will pay well and they will definately be willing to work around my class schedule. :) I haven't actually been hired yet, and Carla (the lady that interviewed me) told me she still had one more person to interview before she decided, but she kept talking as if I was already hired, so I'm just going to take that as a good sign. My good mood kinda feel a little bit when she told me she'd like to have a reference, but that was mostly because she wants me to give her my current boss's information so she can talk to him...and I'm a little concerned about what he'll tell her. I'm probably worried about nothing, and I'm thinking that putting the corner of the bucket on a Bobcat isn't really going to be relevant in an office situation, I can't help but think that it will somehow be brought into the conversation... but, other than that, I really can't think of anything bad that my boss could say about me. I did tend to slack a little at the beginning, mostly because I didn't know what all I was supposed to be doing, but I think I'm better at finding SOMETHING to do now. :)
So anyways, I will know for sure one way or the other by next Friday. I just have to e-mail Carla the contact information so she can get ahold of my boss, and they can have a little chat (which I'm hoping goes well) and then I will know if I'm hired or not. :)

19
Yesterday was my 19th birthday party and I had a pretty good time, aside from the fact that Jake kinda slept through part of it and was kinda antisocial through the rest. But something did bother me. A few people that I had invited over seemed like they still needed to make the night about themselves. It kinda irritated me at some points of the night because one seemed to be wanting to drag the mood down and the other just wanted to talk about herself, which she does all the time, so I'm used to it. But I was kinda hoping that we would get a little reprieve on my birthday, but I guess that was just a little too much to ask for...
Thanks for the gifts and coming over for cake everyone! It was lots of fun watching Rocky Horror Picture Show again..and having everyone make Gir sleep so that she would keep my ass awake when I was trying to get some sleep! ;p
I have to go to work in about an hour and I really don't want too. After being off for 5 days, I realized how I wish I could be spending my summer...having all the free time and still having enough money to spend. But I can't have the free time because of the money, and I can't have the money without giving up some of my free time. But, I suppose I should go get some food and then make myself get dressed now...stupid work, ruining all my fun! *shrugs* Oh well...it will get better, right?...

Camping
I'm leaving today to go camping with Brittany, Christa, and a few other people. Aside from Brushwood last weekend (which wasn't a whole lot like regular camping...just having to sleep in a tent and maybe cook some food over a propane stove), I haven't been camping in a while, so I'm curious to see how it's gonna go. I'm sure I'll have fun, as long as I remember some bug spray. ;p Well, I suppose it would be time to go finish doing that packing thingy. *stab*

BRUSHWOOD
I went to Brushwood this weekend with Katy, Brittany and Tabby (and Kate's cousin, Brian, was there too). We had lots of fun walking around and checking out all of the vendor's tents and seeing what they had to offer...even though I didn't have too much money to play with because of a certain curse that 3 out of 4 girls experienced during the trip to the camp site....fucking periods!! So, I guess we all had the opportunity to get really close...I mean, most of us were on the same cycle and whatnot. I hate being female because it means that you have to bleed every time you want to do something fun!
So anyways, it was a great experience, and if I go back next year, I will definately remember to bring more money! And just in case you're wondering, yes I did see "Wolf Girl" and we got to see her new husband, "Wolf Guy"...they had their handfasting done at the festival, which is awesome. So yes, all-in-all, the experience was definately a positive one, and I really enjoyed myself. :)

Things are looking up
I would just like to point on that I opperated "heavy machinery" on Monday and I moved 2 big pallets of cat/dog/fish food into the drive-thru and during the moving, I didn't puncture any holes in the products..which is really good for me. :) I did move a pallet by hand and the edge feel on a bag and poked a small hole in it, but none of the stuff feel out and a little tape fixed it up. ;p
I had to fix a couple of holes today, too...but not too many..only 1 that I can think of at the moment, actually.
And, I'm taking care of this adorable little kitten, whom I'm calling "Gir" because it's cute..so don't question it!!! ;p She's kindof an expensive little thing, and I don't even get to keep her...:( I dropped $32 on a doctor's visit yesterday to hopefully get her upper respiratory infection all cleared up..and hopefully the shot and the antibiotics work. *crosses fingers*

Why do I suck at life?!?!
Well, I was scheduled to work today all by myself, which is weird lately for a Saturday, but whatever. I figured I would be really busy, but I could handle it and the time would fly by and before I knew it, it would be time to go home. Sounds like a plan, right? WRONG! Little did I know this morning, but before my 4-hour shift was over today, I was going to cause several $100s worth of damage by hitting a truck window with the bucket on our Bobcat. I honestly feel now that no matter how hard I try, I'm going to fuck something up...and, at least at work, it's not always little, insignficant stuff...no...it's truck windows and selling some products for half the price that they really are. And, luckily for me, I get to pay for all of these mistakes. Well, there goes my whole entire reasoning for having a summer job...you know, the whole "saving up money for the upcoming school year" thing...or at least enough so that I can go all the places that I wanted to this summer. It looks like I'm going to be cutting back on some stuff...yay... I'm just glad that I got to see Pirates 2 last night before this major F-UP...if I hadn't, there's no way I would have been able to afford it after this! It's at times like these when I really hate life...not really enough to want to die, but enough to want to crawl under a rock and stay there for at least a decade. *stab*

Next weekend
I'm going to Brushwood in New York with some friends next weekend. It's this Pagan festival where they have big fires and drummings and vendors and such. It sounds like it's going to be really cool. The only thing is..it's camping. But hopefully it's good, and I'm sure it will be. And the following weekend, I get to camp for 5 days...so hopefully I like camping. I'm not really sure if I do because I don't really remember my last camping experience.
Anyways, I've got those two camping trips coming up and I've only got 3 days in between the trips, which means I've only got 3 days I can work the week of the 16th. So, that paycheck is gonna suck ass! But hopefully I will have money to take along with me. :)

Fireworks!!!!
I would just like to point out that the fireworks for the St. Joe 4th of July Festival were actually on time this year...I don't think that's ever happened before! So anyways, the fireworks started promptly at 11:00, which is when they were scheduled to begin, and they lasted about 20 minutes, which is normal for the fireworks show. They were so pretty and shiny! And I think that Britt wants to have a pet firework...just a fun little image there to put in your head. It's quite amusing. But, I don't know if it's quite as amusing as this commercial I saw yesterday. I'm not sure what it was for, but they asked "What's funnier? A mime pretending to be trapped in a glass box, or a mime actually being trapped in a glass box?" And when they put the mime in the actual box on the screen, I couldn't help but giggle, probably a little sadistically, but not too bad. Obviously it was bad cuz Jake said I was "sick"...but it's not like he could keep a straight face when he thought about it. So anyways, even though I'm not sure what the commercial was for, I would have to say that it's the best one I've seen in a very long time. :)
"I like it when they sizzle!" :)

Yay
I got my camera in the other day. It's really tiny, which surprised me. I haven't really gotten to use it yet, but I did take some random pictures of my cat yesterday, which was pretty fun because I could actually see what they looked like right after I took them, and the just delete them if they were really bad or whatever. It was lots of fun. Hopefully I'll be able to actually use it sometime soon...hopefully. :)
