This morning when I woke up, I could barely move, my muscles hurt so badly. I guess that's what I get for running away from little kids for about an hour, and then proceeding to laugh my ass off for about three hours (maybe not that long, but it sure felt like that this morning)!
At Brittany's party yesterday, Katy decided to show us how to play Monster Ball; the person who is it gets about sixty seconds to hide the ball, and then the rest of the people have to try and find it and get everyone back on base with the ball. If the person who is it hits you with the ball that they get to throw, then you're out, and you have to go to "jail" and wait for someone to tag you back in. Well, the last game we played, there wasn't just one person that was "it," but three, and they were all little. One was too little to run, but the other two you really had to run from. It didn't help that the one kid is good at many sports, and he is younger, so he can run a lot longer than any of us.
Needless to say, after about thirty or forty minutes of us running from the little kids, we just gave up; we couldn't run anymore, we were too exhausted. I don't think that it was a good idea to have them all be it, especially since we had already played about three rounds before that, so we were tired to begin with.
That's definately not a do-over; not for me, anyways. But, it was fun, even though we technically got beaten by some kids.

Brittany's graduation party
Yesterday, I went to Brittany's graduation party. I got there at exactly 4, according to my mom's clock. We had a great time; she got out her go-cart and 4-wheeler, and everyone rode on those;except we couldn't have both out at the same time, because if someone died, Brittany would die, and we didn't want that.
At about 9:30, she started a fire and we all hung around it and told jokes and funny stories. Then, we roasted marshmellows, and Matt roasted a hotdog. Eventually, the party dwindled down to just Brittany, me, Katy, Heather, and Brittany's parents (her brother had passed out hours before that). After her parents went inside, the four of us that were left started bouncing on the trampoline, taking turns. It was so much fun!
Eventually, we all got too tired to jump, especially because we were laughing our asses off, so we just sat on the tramp and talked for about an hour.
When everyone finally left, it was about 3:15 a.m. We were all exhausted, mostly from trying to bounce while laughing as hard as we had been.
I think that I was stung by a bee; I was sitting there on the tramp and we were talking when I heard a buzzing noise and something flew into my ear. I brushed it away, whatever it was, and then i felt something on my back that was similar to a sting. I was probably just imagining it.
That was probably the best graduation party that I have ever been to. We just sat around and did what we always do, except, everyone was crazy; Katy was talking with a southern accent, and Brittany actually hugged a guy; it was weird, but so much fun!

I can't believe it!
I just remembered that my cousin, Kenny, was due to be married this past Monday; married to a girl that only he can stand! I hope that he didn't go through with it, but, I know that didn't happen.
I can't believe that nobody told me! I found out by accident on Sunday, the day before his wedding. His mom was talking about it while she was telling someone what she had planned for the rest of her stay in the U.S. I just couldn't believe that was the first time I had heard about it. When I looked at my mom with a confused expression, she said, "Oh yeah, Kenny is getting married; I forgot to tell you." Yeah, I'd say she forgot!

The best day ever!
Okay, today was so much fun! It may not have been the best day that I have ever had, but it is definately the best that I've had in a while.
The day started out with Jessica, Matt, Katy, Brittany, Megan, Josh, and me playing tennis at the middle school while all of the middle schoolers were in school (ha ha).
Then, me, Katy, Jess, Matt, and Britt all went to a restaurant and had some BBQ wings, and Matt had a tenderloin. It was fun. Matt and Britt played a game of pool. We had to rush Britt back to her house so that she could get ready for work, and me, Jess, and Matt went and hung out at Katy's house for a while.
Around 5, Jess decided that she should go home because she had some stuff that she needed to do before 4-H, so she left. Before she went home, she took Matt to his house, he picked up some movies, and he brought them to Katy's house, and the three of us watched some movies. We spent the last 30 or so minutes helping Matt roll up a D&D character so that he can join our little group the next time we play.
Brittany stopped over around 8-ish with Tabby because she was taking Tabby home after work, and she needed to stop at Katy's to get her bike before she went home.
Today was so much fun! I hope that we can do it again sometime soon!

Wedding in Kentucky
I just got back from my uncle's wedding in Kentucky. The wedding was held at his future wife's parent's house, which looks over a lake/river/I don't know what it is. The scenery was gorgeous! I really wish that I would have had a camera with me; I would have used a whole one on just the scenery itself. I don't know how to describe it; anything I could/would say wouldn't do it justice.
All I can really say is that they had a stairway, that was stones that looked like they had been carved out of the cliff, that led down to the water, where they had a dock and a little boat of some sort. It was beautiful there! There were bunches of trees and flowers, and apparently they have cyotes and foxes and rattlesnakes, but thankfully I didn't see any of those!
The worst part about it was that Kentucky is all hills, so their house was at the bottom of this huge hill. The part of their property that the wedding ceremony took place on was at the top of the hill, so we had to climb 700 stone stairs in high heels to get to it, and then we had to go back down to get to the house for the food. That was aweful!
Other than the going up hills in high heels, the wedding couldn't have been better. Everything was absolutely beautiful! Mom said that Eric, my uncle, kept up with the Gardner family tradition and cried at the wedding; I guess Grandpa and Dad both cried.

That was weird!
Today was my last day of school, and I'm a senior, so I never have to go back there again, except for the whole graduation thing. I'm used to signing picture or paper, even a few shirts, on the last day of school, but never have I ever been asked to sign someone's pants. It was really weird; I didn't mind it, but it just wasn't something that I have ever been asked to do before.
I was sitting at Jess's locker this morning, and Michael was actually there and he was actually sitting with us instead of standing closer to the direction of his first class, steadily inching away from us. Anyways, so I see Jess signing his pants, and I really don't think anything of it, until he sticks his leg out toward me and hands me the sharpie marker and asks me to write on his pant leg.
It was definately a new experience, that's for sure, but, it was fun. I'm not saying that I would jump at the chance to do it again, however. :)

Last day of highschool
Tomorrow is my last day of highschool. I'm excited and glad to be rid of it, but also, on the other hand, there are people who are trapped there for the next 1,2, or 3 years that I will really miss. I will miss Sarah and Michael, mostly corrupting them, but that's besides the point. There are some juniors besides Sarah that are okay (definately not the ones in my French class!), and I will miss talking to them in the halls or in class, talking about nothing really important, just talking.
There are also those in my own class that I will miss. Jessica, Brittany, Katy (mom), Christa, Heather, and some people that are in a few of my classes. I will miss them, and, the truth of the matter is that we probably won't talk a whole lot after this summer; everyone is going to college, they're leaving me! So, because everyone is going to be gone, that means that we need to have the most awesome summer ever, right guys?
Everyone keeps asking me if I'm scared to graduate or if I will miss highschool. I can honestly say no to both questions. However, I will miss all of the friends that I have in the school! Over the last 2 or 3 years, we have grown very close,... at least some of us have, and I'm having a hard time imagining life without them. It seems like I never really tried to enjoy my highschool career until this year; now that I have a bunch of cool things going on, like D&D, it's all going to end. It just doesn't seem like it has really been four years.

My Weekend
I spent Friday night/Saturday morning at the Relay for Life because my family lost my aunt a little over a year ago, so we do the Relay in her memory. Well, apparently the weather isn't allowed to be nice on the day of the Relay; it was really crappy last year, it rained the whole time; this year, not only did it rain, but there was a period, of at least an hour, of intense wind; it knocked several tents over.
I did have some fun. My cousin was there for most of it; he and I would walk around the track together when it was one of our turns to walk, and we would just talk and catch up; it was nice.
I got home at about 12:30 today and I took a shower because I felt disgusting, and I took about a 2 hour nap, which took my sleep total up to about 6 hours, YES! then, I got up and went to a friends house to watch Star Wars Episodes I and II, because were going to see Episode III next week, and I figured I would need a refresher. That, and the other girl who is going with us had never seen the first one, and she had only seen parts of the second one, so she kindof needed to see them.
I did have fun this weekend, but I know that I will be "dead to the world" on Monday! Which is great, just in time to work on some projects that will either make or break my grades in Physics and Trig! :)

D & D
Well, me and a group of three or four other girls (depending on who is grounded or not allowed out of the house), and there is also a guy thrown in there if we can play on the weekends, get together at least once a week and we play D & D (Dungeons and Dragons). I have so much fun; our people are hilarious together. The DM (Dungeon Master), Katy, is really creative and she makes things histerical, me and Brittany are extremely sarcastic, which pisses Tabby off really bad, and she tries to throw rocks at Brittany's character.
We get followed around by this "floating, glowing, STD, date-rape apple" (a la Brittany) that is green, and if you take a bite of it, whoever you look at becomes your sex slave. So, when one of the characters give a green apple to some character that he brought along with him, me, Brittany and Tabby start screaming "NOOOO!" We definately don't want to be the one she looks at. Well, it turned out that it wasn't even the "special apple," so we screamed our heads off for nothing. But, we were thankful that it was a different apple, believe me!
I'm really going to miss doing this when two of the five group members leave to go to college! We will only be able to get together when they are both back for vacation, which could be never. So, hopefully we can play more than once a week during the summer, because we'll never get anything done at this rate!

Graduation
Well, graduation is coming up really quickly. Actually, it isn't really. We have a little over 2 weeks before the actual graduation ceremony, but we seniors only have 7 more days of class. I don't think that I will cry, at least, not until the ceremony. That's when it will all be real, and I will know that I'm actually going through it, that it's actually happening for sure. I know there was a group of people at prom who were crying and telling everyone that they will miss them; they started doing this while "Pomp and Circumstance" was being played. It didn't really have an affect on me at that point, but, I'm sure I will cry my eyes out at graduation.
The thing about graduation that I think I'm looking forward to the least is the fact that the girls have to wear white robes. I look like Death warmed over in white! Don't they understand that?
I'm sure that I will lose contact with a few of my friends after everyone goes off to college, but, as long as I keep in contact with my close ones, it shouldn't be too bad, right?

In a fight with the sidewalk
Well, I didn't think it was possible, but this past weekend, I actually managed to get in a fight with the sidewalk, and lose.
It all started at about 8:30 P.M., when my mom discovered that my dad's bike was missing. My brother's bike had been stolen from his friend's house almost exactly a week before, and now my dad's bike was gone. And, on the side yard where the bikes are kept, there was this red and purple bike that didn't belong to anyone we knew, or so we thought. It turned out that the red and purple bike was once my brother's bike. Whoever had taken it had replaced the wheels and handlebars, and painted everything that was silver this shiny, purple color. Also, they had attempted to scratch off the bike's brand sticker, but, obviously they either got tired of trying, or they tried and did a really crappy job.
I was running/walking fast to try and catch up with my brother because he was going to some guy's house that lived by his friend, the one he was at when his bike was stolen. He noticed that this guy had a bunch of bikes in his yard and a little bike workshop in his garage. Anyways, I heard police sirens down the road that i had just walked across, so I was busy looking down the street when, out of nowhere, this piece of sidewalk jumps up, grabs my foot, and smashes me down on the ground. I tore open my left-hand palm and scraped up the other one, scraped/bruised up my right knee and my left one had a little scrape, and I chipped my left big toenail and scraped a good sized chunk of skin off. So, sufficed to say, the sidewalk was the victor in our little squable. He took a chunk of my toenail, and I walked away limping.

More on Prom
I had a good time at prom. the DJ could have played less rap and more of the good rock music, or whatever they call it,... the stuff my parents listen to. They could have also played a little bit more country; I wish that he wouldn't have played three slow songs in a row when he did decide to play them! I get so lonely during slow songs!
After prom was cool. We didn't bowl this year, but that was okay. I didn't win a TV this year, but I got $110 collectively, so it wasn't all that bad. My cousin, Eric, came to after prom and hung out with me and my friends. If a certain nameless person was going to be there, I don't think he would have come, and I'm glad that he has finally caught on to how annoying he is! Jess knows all about it!
After after prom was over, a bunch of people went to Sarah's house, where her mom and dad had made this big breakfast for everyone. They had bacon, some sort of egg casserole, peach muffins, fruit and dip, and cinnamon bread of some sort, and some other things, but I don't remember what they were. It was so good! We should do that again, execpt, maybe not at 4:30 in the morning!
I got home around 8:30, and I wanted to sleep, but I don't think I actually laid down until about 9, so, I was up for almost 24 hours straight. I got to sleep for about 4 hours, maybe more, and then I had to get up because me, my mom, and Jess were going to Celina to see the choir perform Little Shop of Horrors. Even though we missed the first 30 minutes of the show, we got to see most of it, and it was hilarious!
My physics teacher expected his students to study for the test, which we were having on the Monday after prom, over prom weekend, YEAH RIGHT! Needless to say, I definately didn't study. I should have though, because i BOMBED the test!
So, that was prom weekend, in a nut shell. It was great; probably the best time I have ever had at a school dance.

After Prom
Well, the whole prom experience wasn't all that bad this year. I have to say that I am proud of Jess and Matt for having an evening without DRAMA,... at least, nobody knew they had it, if they did. It was nice!
The dance itself was okay. It would have been fine if the DJ hadn't felt the need to play rap music all night. He did manage to get some country and some older rock music in there at some points, but, it wasn't much.
At after-prom, we basically sat around and ate the free food. We did play "Name That Tune;" I'm sure you can guess what the game was about by the title. my group won $100 in the country round. I think everyone who wanted the money got $10, which isn't bad since we had a group of about 7 or 8. Matt got $30 because he had to play the fiddle for "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" (again this year; the second in a row), and he also went up and guessed some tunes on his own when they called for a volunteer from each group. I was happy with my $10, even though I didn't really do much, I did try. Plus, I won $100 later on, so I couldn't complain much!
So, basically, I should learn not to have any expectations for when we all get together, because I will almost always get let down. With no expectations, I can't be let down.
